A multi-phase regeneration project of the former Strathclyde University Jordanhill campus, including the careful restoration of two historic buildings to ensure they are safeguarded for future generations.

The transformation of this historic site into a luxurious residential development, centred around the iconic Grade-B listed David Stow Building, will be undertaken. Known for its distinctive copper towers, the building will be restored and repurposed into high-end apartments, preserving its heritage while becoming a focal point of the new community. The development emphasises open spaces, incorporating historic parkland and new green areas, complete with public paths, cycleways, and children’s play areas to enhance accessibility and recreation.
The client sought a brand identity that exudes a premium feel, aligning with the luxury apartments’ price point, while honouring the area’s rich heritage. The identity needed to remain timeless, reflecting the 8-10 year phased construction period.
The final design features three leaves or petals interlaced by a Celtic knot, encapsulated within a 3D cube, symbolising the blend of historic neo-classical and modern architecture.
Taking inspiration from the historic David Stow building’s copper spires, and the rich green woodland surrounding Jordanhill Park. The colours “Copper & Forrest” have been chosen to represent the premium nature of the development.
Accompanying these colours, a secondary palette has been created to represent each of the planned release phases. A seasonal colour spectrum represents the development as it progresses from autumn (clearing out the old), through winter (preparation for new beginnings), to spring (regeneration and regrowth) and finally summer (the completed project coming to fruition) – Glasgow’s west end in bloom.
To maintain a premium brand image, a formal grid and column structure was implemented for consistent brand mark alignment across all marketing materials. The use of copper foil and metallic inks on premium paper stock further enhances the luxury feel of the brand.
